For our preliminary project, we had to film a small movie opening. It had to include a shot reverse shot, match on action and it also had to adhere to the 180 degree rule. The video had to follow someone walking, opening a door and sitting down in front of someone else.
WWW: - We followed the criteria for the project and used a shot reverse shot and a match on action, as well as adhering to the 180 degree rule.
- The match on action was quite accurate
- The shot reverse shot was edited well and doesn't cut dialogue off.
EBI: - We had found a way to get rid of the noise of the tripod jamming during the middle of the scene.
- Shots during the dialogue were longer. The short takes made the conversation appear rushed.
- We had added music during the opening.
